A/Professor Santosh Sanagapalli is a Consultant Gastroenterologist devoted to the care of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal (digestive) tract. He runs a modern and dynamic gastroenterology practice based at the St. Vincent's Hospital campus, Darlinghurst, where he performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Further, he has subspecialty expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the oesophagus such as reflux, hiatus hernia and conditions affecting the swallowingachalasia, eosinophilic oesophagitis, strictures and others.

Our practice is now back to running in a 'COVID-normal' fashion. We continue to see new and existing patients for both consultations and procedures. As per Government guidelines, we are once more able to perform all types of procedures for our patients. Dr Santosh Sanagapalli, Gastroenterologist in Sydney

Associate Professor Santosh Sanagapalli (BSc MBBS PhD FRACP) is an alumnus of the University of New South Wales medical school. Following medical school, he completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at St Vincent’s Hospital and Concord Hospital in Sydney. He then undertook a research fellowship in gastrointestinal physiology at the University College London Hospital, UK, one of London’s most prestigious teaching hospitals and an international centre of excellence in the treatment of patients with oesophageal disorders. He has completed a PhD thesis comprising his research which has advanced the diagnosis of oesophageal motility disorders.
